Chicken Fry

Ingredients:

  • Chicken -250 grams

  • Onion - 1 medium size( Red Oinions Tastes good with Indian curries)

  • Yogurt -  2 Tablespoons 

  • Ginger & Garlic Paste ( 2 Tablespoons)

  • Garam Masala - 1 Teaspoon

  • Coriander Powder -2 Teaspoons 

  • Salt - 2 Teaspoons

  • Chilli powder-1 Teaspoon 

  • Turmeric - 1/2 Teaspoon 

  • Lemon juice - 1 Tablespoon

  • Cooking oil - 4 Tablespoons

Preparation:

  • First clean the chicken and cut them about 3-5 cm dice, and leave it in salt water for 15 mins. 

  • Add chili powder, turmeric, salt, ginger & garlic paste, garam masala , yogurt and lemon juice in a bowl 

  • Add the cleaned chicken in the bowl and mix all well.

  • Leave it for 30 to 40 minutes to marinate. 

  • Meantime, cut the onions into small pieces and keep aside. 

  • Add oil to a frying pan and fry the onions over a medium flame/heat till they turn brown colour 

  • Add the Marinated chicken to the pan and mix all well. 

  • After mixing cover the pan with a lid and cook in a medium flame/heat and keep stirring the chicken.  

  • Cook the chicken until juices from the chicken get evaporated, yet leave oil. 

  • Add some coriander leaves. Just fry for 3 minutes and turn off the heat.

  • Now chicken Fry is ready. You can enjoy it as a starter or with your choice of rice.
